In Cardiff for a weekend - happened on this by chance on Friday night, promptly made a booking for Saturday evening. Enjoyed both meals equally. Great choices available, without sacrificing quality for an over long menu. Food was excellent. We treated ourselves from the wine list - but did not regret our choice. Definitely worth what we paid - and so we treated ourselves again the second night :-) Excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Happy to recommend this restaurant, which is very definitely a cut above in what is always a crowded market of Italian restaurants.

We turned up unanounced and unfortunately it had closed about 15 minutes previous. However, we were called back in by the staff as chef said he would cook. That was our first wow! The food came out and was simply fresh, delicious and clearly cooked with passion. That was our second wow! Then, after asking about how a particular dish was cooked, chef came out and, not only explaind, but gave us a take away of a key ingredient! The third and biggest wow! Didn't book but managed to find a table for 2, maybe booking would be a good idea as it got busy. I ate off the dinner menu, my wife chose one of the specials. Both very good indeed, also had a desert each and coffee. Very friendly staff, helpfull, but not in your face if you know what I mean, just right. It's not an Italian chain restaurant. Worth a visit, I'll definitely go again as there's more on the menu I'd like to try. There's paid parking directly opposite.

Sat upstairs, beautiful and cozy atmosphere. The service was impeccable, I felt cared for by staff. The moment I sat down I had water poured for me and a glass bottle left on the table, which staff immediately filled when empty. The bread and olives were delicious. Our mains arrived just as we finished our starters and they looked perfect. I ordered the Ragu and was not left disappointed. It was the most flavourful pasta I've had in my life, the lamb was incredibly well cooked and had not one ounce of fat, the Pecorino cheese the most amazing pairing.
