Perfectly delicious. I ordered a 8oz Sirilon steak with Peppercorn sauce. The chips were crisp and fluffy, the steak was Perfectly chargrilled and the peppercorn was proper peppery. Fantastic dinner. I also love having a sweet dessert for afterwards and ordered the apple pie, it came as a mini apple pie that was pipping hot with a nice crunch crust. Very good would defo recommend.

Good atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks. Food looks (and smells) lovely.All credit to the management and staff, arranged for 2 of us to watch our home football team on one TV whilst there was a Premiership game being shown on all the others even though the pub was busy. Have paid a visit here on our last 3 stays in Chester, and have always had a good time and felt comfortable.

I honestly cannot recommend Georgie at the Red Lion Pub highly enough — a genuine 10/10 experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, Georgie completely set the tone for the evening. The level of service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional without ever feeling forced. You can tell straight away when someone truly cares about what they do, and Georgie absolutely does. Nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. What really stood out was the attention to detail. Georgie remembered our preferences, checked in at e
