Family Pop TV★★★★

A solid, dependable Wetherspoon in the heart of Shotton. Stopped by with the family just for some refreshing drinks. The standout feature here is definitely the real ale selection. At £2.20 a pint, it’s easily the best value in the area. They also offer a "try before you buy" option on the guest ales, which is excellent if you want to sample something new before committing to a full pint. The outdoor seating area is a decent spot when the weather behaves and the sun is out. It sits right on the main artery road through town, so expect some traffic noise, but it's fine for a casual drink. Ins

Missed my train and decided the safest place was indoors with some panads! The gentleman behind the bar was super nice keeping an eye on me and made me feel safe which isn't always possible as a lone female in a strange place so thank you very much whoever was working til close on the 9th June

Popped in for a bit of lunch. Under £8 for 2 sausage, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, bean and chips, all washed down with a cracking pint of leffe. Say what you want about spoons but I cannot fault it

Samantha Elliot★★★★★

Lovely little pub with really friendly staff. Food came out nice and hot and didn’t take long at all. Was really nice to see the young lady and young gentleman helping an gentleman after he had a fall, they stayed so calm and looked after him properly. Nice to see young people being so caring these days. Credit to them both and the pub
