Family Pop TV★★★★A solid, dependable Wetherspoon in the heart of Shotton. Stopped by with the family just for some refreshing drinks. The standout feature here is definitely the real ale selection. At £2.20 a pint, it’s easily the best value in the area. They also offer a "try before you buy" option on the guest ales, which is excellent if you want to sample something new before committing to a full pint. The outdoor seating area is a decent spot when the weather behaves and the sun is out. It sits right on the main artery road through town, so expect some traffic noise, but it's fine for a casual drink. Ins

The gentleman behind the bar was super nice keeping an eye on me and made me feel safe which isn't always possible as a lone female in a strange place so thank you very much whoever was working til close on the 9th June
