Amazing! Modern small plates, beautifully plated, gorgeous taste, classy cocktails. (Slightly open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work) We went for restaurant week, 2 small plates and a drink £20. Absolute bargain. Menu offers a great selection, with every dish sounding tempting. This was top notch. Next time I'm back in Durham, we'll be back.

Absolutely beautiful little unassuming restaurant at the top of North Road. I’d eaten at Coarse already (their sister restaurant) so was keen to give this a go. I came for the sharing plates with three friends. The restaurant is lovely inside, the staff were all so welcoming and friendly, really good service. Honestly I struggled to choose dishes as I loved the sound of everything on the menu! I liked being able to see into the kitchen, Every dish was delicious! Highlights were the Korean pork belly, the slow cooked beef, the Japanese vegetable pancake and the French toast with poached pear. C

Great choice of delicious, well presented small plates. Between the hungry three of us, we had Korean pork belly, cauliflower pakoras, scallops with leek and bacon, chicken schnitzel, rosti chips with truffle mayonnaise and parmesan, spinach gremolata, gin and tonic salmon with dill cheese, white crab with curry mayonnaise. Hard to choose a favourite. We sat outside at the back of the restaurant.

A very basic but perfectly comforting atmosphere with good vibes. The staff and service standard were faultless. The star of the show is the menu every dish we tried was top class. Visit and enjoy it is highly recommended in our eyes.
