Visited all the way from Texas! Awesome atmosphere. The Best Steak and Ale pie I had on our entire trip to the UK. The manager was super cool. Found out from talking to him that we had the same tattoo!!

Lovely place right across the way from the Bobby statue. If you are just ahead of meals it will be somewhat easier to find a seat. Definitely a tourist spot, but with the right amount of comfy-coziness to make it worth the trip. Seating is pretty limited inside, so if there is not a spot (and people do linger), you might want to think about pressing on. The building has a rich history; it was once a candle-making workshop and later a meeting place for candlemakers. The food and service are excellent. You can bring children and sit in the dining area on the left, or head to the bar on the right, which is for adults only. Bobby's statue is out front; please don't touch his nose—let's preserve history. Take the current photo from the museum to compare the facade with the previous one.

This place is a great pub with savory food and good drinks. I loved their specialty soda and the steak and ale pie. Good food, good vibes, not a long wait even though they were busy. The building is great and very traditional pub feel.
