Joe Gordon★★★★★Unusual for the West End, this long-time resident of the Edinburgh pub scene remains a proper pub, nothing fancy, just a real pub, good range of ales on tap and very reasonable prices (especially for city centre). One word of warning, the loo is in the basement via long flight of steps, so not ideal if you have mobility problems, but still a great Edinburgh pub that refuses to put on airs and graces
Mark Faulkner★★★★★One of my favourite bars in Edinburgh. Friendly and polite customer service and a good range of alcoholic beverages including a good range of whisky. The massive Bells bar mirror is spectacular. Having an open fireplace in the corner gives this pub a cosy feeling. Love the books that are available to buy with a donation to charity. Sport normally available on their tv screens. A good number of tables and seating areas so you can relax in comfort. Highly recommended. Their offers on specific alcoholic beverages like malt whiskies are well worth sampling.
David Cameron★★★★★Really good local traditional pub just off the west end of princes street. Popular with locals and people who use the out of town buses nearby. Relaxed atmosphere and good friendly service from the staff. The beers are good quality and good value. Ideal if you’re after a no fuss pint or two in a traditional setting.
Greg Burns★★★★★Nice early in the day pint to start our Edinburgh pub crawl. Local place with what seemed nice regulars. Had the hard to find Deuchers on cask which was a welcome bonus. Good spot.
