The witchery was one of the most memorable meals of our trip. We booked a 10:30pm dinner here to celebrate our engagement and it was the absolute best time. Experiencing it candelit at night creates a beautiful, intimate, and bewitching atmosphere. The kir royale, bouillabaisse, duck, and apple tart were out of this world! This place deserves all the praise and more. The service was excellent, the staff being very professional and personable. They served our dessert on these cute plates for our engagement! This is a must to your edinburgh trip!!

Lunch at The Witchery was definitely one of the more memorable dining experiences I had in Edinburgh. The chicken was absolutely amazing. One of those meals where you clean the plate without even realizing it. The lunch special was a great value at around £37 for two courses, but be aware that nearly everything else is à la carte, including bread and water, so extras can add up quickly. Ordering from the regular menu is noticeably pricier. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from The Witchery — dramatic, historic, and incredibly unique. I was seated in the older dining room, which is

Dining at the Witchery is a wonderfully sensorial experience The ambience is magical with the main level room historic, warm and moody aesthetic to the upper level that is reminiscent of a garden house in France. I enjoyed an absolutely delicious dinner and as a Pescatarian, the Witchery offered many culinary infulgences to fit my needs. The sole dish was perfectly made and the apple tart with warm custard was delicious. I was particularly impressed with the balance of pastry to apples and the Witchery interpretation of a classic petit four - delish and delightful!! The service was outstan

Fantastic experience at The Witchery. To start, I had the scallops and my wife had the asparagus, both were excellent and a great way to begin the meal. For the main, we shared the Côte de Boeuf, which was genuinely the best we’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly, incredibly tender and full of flavour, it really stood out as the highlight of the meal. The setting is just as impressive as the food, with a beautiful, atmospheric dining room that makes the whole experience feel special. Service was attentive without being over the top. A memorable meal and somewhere we would absolutely return to.
