A lovely pub restaurant set in a very old building, full of character and traditional British charm. The place has a great atmosphere, with a beautiful garden area offering outdoor seating. The menu is quite extensive, with plenty of options to choose from. We had a traditional British meal – haddock 🐟 with thick, perfectly cooked chips 🍟, served with a selection of sauces: tartar, curry, and mushy peas. The Flask is a truly lovely, clean and welcoming local pub in Highgate with plenty of traditional character and charm. The outdoor area is spacious, nicely presented, and is a lovely area to eat and drink in, especially when the weather is lush as was the case during my visit. The staff were great and friendly. I only had one pint (First Light), but it was very well served and reasonably priced too. I visited The Flask on 08.04.2026.

However, one ‘dish’ truly stopped us in our tracks: the £26 charcuterie board. I couldn’t help but laugh when it arrived.. because this was it. For that price, I was expecting something at least a little more generous and thoughtfully presented.

We booked lunch for three at The Flask and were immediately struck by how cosy and atmospheric it is. I loved all the different little zones and nooks, and sitting by a roaring fire made it feel especially welcoming. We were initially seated next to the toilets, but when we asked to move it was no problem at all, which we appreciated. Service throughout was good: our food arrived quickly and the waitresses were friendly and attentive. There was a small hiccup when one of our party found a hair in her Coke. It was replaced without any fuss, although we felt the apology could perhaps have been
