julie buckham★★★★We'd seen this pub while on a river cruise last year and heard Ian Mckellen had bought it so had to pop in for a drink as it was close to our hotel. Over 2 floors with only small outside space- had to sit inside as the few seats were taken. Shame as it was a lovely day. Good atmosphere and staff, typical London prices. Menu looked good too. No Gandalf unfortunately but he does pop in they said.....
Robb Aube★★★★★The bartenders are absolutely fantastic, the vibe, looks, everything is truly the best experience. Falling into a quinticential speak easy/classic environmental where conversation isn't broken or revolved around a television, music or nonsense. I came here because I'm massive nerd for Lord of the Rings, but I left here loving the pub for what it is, a local joint where regulars and visitors can meet, talk, and enjoy the simplist form of human social interaction.
Rob Marks★★★★★Popped in for a drink as I heard it was Ian McKellens pub. The atmosphere was nice and service was cheery. Quite small inside and out so probably not great on a busy evening. Certainly worth a visit if only to see Gandalfs staff.
Roman Alexis Anastasini★★★★★What a wonderful place! Super nice and attentive staff who helped me with my order. First time in London for me. So fish and chips it is. I didn't have a reference but I really enjoyed it. And yes it came with mushy pies! <3 Great place to be and relax, play board games or as I did read a book while having a pint and eat lunch.
