Greeted with a smile on arrival and the whole staff really friendly during our meal. Great selection on the menu and all our dishes were very good. The family sized naan was good for 4 people! Overall a very enjoyable evening here.

Extremely disappointed with the food and especially with Manager SHAJZAD. I have visited this branch and other Akbar restaurants up and down the country for many years but my last visit here ! ! lacked authenticity in the recipes, poor taste and texture, overly priced to say the least. The highlight of the evening was the naan bread. Called manager to the table given lengthy feedback and instead of trying to redeem our expereince he came across rude, discrediting our opinions and gave endless excuses. Didn't offer any form of resolution or looked like he didn't care if customers returned. S

I've been eating here since it opened and it's steadily getting worse. We went early evening as we had out young son with us, so the restaurant was very quite. From the off the greetings (I'm not sure if there were actually any), were nonchalant. The staff were nice enough and polite when they did engage, but certainly didn't put any effort into making us feel welcome. The food was far from expected, from the poppadoms, which weren't warm, or cripsy. A 50th birthday celebration, we had a table for 7 people. We ordered various starters to share, 7 main courses, rice and the family nan bread which was huge. The food quality and portion size was excellent and the service was great. Atmosphere was busy and at times the music was far too loud so we couldn't hear each other speak. A nice touch was the cake and sparkler for the birthday. We all had a great time and packed up the remaining food to take with us.
