Ordered the fish and chips from the gluten free menu. They have a separate menu so be sure to let them know its the GF version. They use gluten free beer for the gf battered fish. I asked about fryers and they said they have a dedicated fryer. Service was great and the place was amazing. Very pretty outdoor seating next to a little river thats nive for a stroll. Indoor seating options as well. Parking was great. Food was good. Fish had a lot of batter if that's something you're into. The curry sauce we added on for the chips was delicious. They also have a few diff options for dessert too.

I booked a room here for my mum and I to celebrate her 50th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that we had a lovely time! Our room was upgraded and some treats were left in the room with a lovely birthday note! The breakfast was nice, and there was so much choice. All of the staff were really lovely and attentive, and the scenery was really beautiful. We’ll definitely be going back to stay again! Thank you so much to all of the lovely staff who made our stay amazing! ☺️

For a supposed four star hotel I am more than slightly surprised they could gain these credentials. The rooms have a glass front door (not great) and unable to black out the outside lights, also no air conditioning. However what a lovely nice size room. My rump steak was absolutely fantastic, tender and cooked so well. When we had breakfast the first morning the coffee was not from a machine, it was week and not very nice but the waiter couldn't be more helpful and brought us fresh from the machine. The following morning everything seemed to go wrong! We ordered our coffee from the same waiter

I am not one to post reviews but just spent an overnight stay at Bartons Mill and have to say very much impressed with the overall experience. Exceptional room with everything needed, plenty of space and large bathroom and spacious shower. Evening meal most enjoyable with my wife and l both amazed by our choice of pork which literally just seemed to melt in the mouth. Breakfast too was substantial and set us up for the day (we didn't eat again until getting home at 8 o'clockthat evening!). Quiet country location extremely pleasant and can imagine even better on a sunny summer's day and evening
