We travelled to this pub which is situated in a beautiful part of pyrford next to the marina and Basingstoke canal, they have a large outdoors table service next to the canal which makes its location picturesque. The service was given to us by Charlie he was attentive and he’s not free you pay 10% service charge by looking his way, we ordered the burgers a tower one and double with bacon, the burger were tasteless and dry like frozen not sure if Birds Eye, the chunky chips were a mere handful as portion sizes are a extreme small to mediocre. If not for the charm of this place and the larger it

Anoop was a fantastic host. Very friendly, great service and we felt very at ease that our dietary requirements were taken care of. Gluten free selection was great, will definitely be returning, thanks!

Excellent lunch at The Anchor today (Sunday the 7th of June). We were expertly assisted by Anoop who was absolutely brilliant and dealt with our many awkward dietary requirements (gluten free diner, two kids) with great skill and always a smile. Thank you much for a lovely meal. The pub itself is a lovely spot overlooking the water. Food was superb, especially the fish and chips!

We had a great experience at this restaurant. Umor was incredibly polite, kind, and patient, and his friendly and professional attitude really made our visit special. His customer service was outstanding and truly appreciated. We tried the Chicken Parmesan and the burger, and both were absolutely delicious — fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. The restaurant itself is very lovely with a nice atmosphere, and it also has parking available, which is a big plus. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back!
