James Mac★★★★★Absolutely amazing pub to stop off at halfway on our 10 mile walk between Marsden and Mossley station. It's situated in lovely countryside as it's only a few hundred metres away from the boundary with the Peak District National Park. The woman that served us was very friendly and the toilets were very clean too. Playing some great music on the speakers too! Would definitely recommend stopping off here if you're in the area and would definitely come here again!
Donkey Walloper.★★★★★Had a lovely Sunday dinner here. Service is warm and friendly, quality of the food is spot on. Very generous portions and a good atmosphere. Craft beers on offer and ice-cream sundaes 🍨 are amazing. Charming old pub.

I work in the industry and there's no way the chef sent that out, without antici
Anne N★★★★★What a lovely place, defo will come back. Fantastic atmosphere, staff brilliant, attentive, and friendly but really professional. Amazing value and gorgeous food. Pork pies delicious, obviously fresh salad and yummy pate. Extremely dog friendly. Thanks for a fab afternoon. Where else are peacocks just roaming around......😀
