Una Rouse★★★★

The King's Head Inn was where we stayed on a recent visit to Salisbury. The hotel is connected to a Wetherspoons pub. It is a very old building and looks great. Due to my disability we were in an accessible room. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom hadn't any surfaces you could place toiletries, etc. The basin tap didn't turn off properly and the fan in thee bathroom was exceptionally loud. Room was really clean & comfy, with all mod cons, Iron, ironing board & hairdryer in the room plus tea & coffee making facilities and bottled water. In the bar we encountered 'the bear' (see other google reviews) When my husband ordered a pint on the app, he slammed the pint on the table with such force I thought it would break! But apart from this service and helpfulness of the staff was first rate. The breakfasts we had came quickly after ordering and on hot plates no complaints from us! Free tea & coffee refills for hotel residents is a great bonus too.

Came in for a solo lunch, very quick and friendly service, lovely ham, eggs and chips. Not sure if the ham was made to be cold but was still delicious regardless. Thoroughly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding almost ordered a second portion. Will be back with friends or family soon. Considering spoons is usually quite a busy place with its negative connotations, this is by far one of the best i’ve been to.

Service: Average speed, the server coughed while handing me my plate, mumbled an apology and that was the whole exchange. Food: you get what you pay for. Undercooked chips but in all honesty the rest of it was actually spot on Drinks: Again, its a spoons and Im teetotal so fine? Other: The staff broke about 10 glasses in the hour and a bit I was there, of course people went WHEEEEYYY, as they should ;) Mayonnaise was almost out, maybe salisbury has a thing for mayo but the other bits were fine. 2 stars for the coughing on my food, 4 stars without…
