I’ll be honest I’m not usually a Wetherspoons regular. But the day after Aston Villa’s European final, a full English and a cold Guinness felt like the only sensible decision, and this place delivered in every way. The large breakfast was genuinely impressive proper quality, well cooked, and exactly what was needed. And £10.49 for that and a Guinness? In this climate, that’s hard to argue with. It’s always nice to come here for a few cheap drinks and food…. At the time of writing this my pint of Coors Light only cost me £2.49, that’s literally unbeatable in the area let alone elsewhere…. Friendly patrons, a lot of regulars… a pleasant place to catch your breath from shopping… Staff do a great job but can get easily overwhelmed with sudden footfall

I am still sitting in the Mare Pool Spoons, the date is 18th June 2026 & I've just thorougly enjoyed a chicken and maple-cured bacon salad with extra chicken and hot mediterranean vegetables, freshly prepared and tasty, I couldn't fault it at all, I am a salad freak and it really scored 10 out of 10. Great Spoons, bright and clean with great clientele and friendly staff.
