Popped across the water on the ferry to visit New Brighton. Cool little high street. Rather bohemian with murals and the Driftwood Cafe. It's a small little seaside cafe serving fanastic food. Had the Welsh Rarebit. Perfect. Next time I'm in Liverpool, I'll be going back to the lovely little cafe. Recommend

I ordered the cream tea with a Coronation Chicken sandwich and home-baked scone with clotted cream and jam. The sandwich was superb - over an inch in thickness - with a delicious home-made version of the classic sandwich. The scone was warm and freshly baked that day. It was a very simple food made with care using the best ingredients. The staff are very warm and friendly. This cafe is charming and eclectic, and I enjoyed every aspect of my visit. I have added the cafe to my list of all-time favourite cafes on Wirral.

The cafe was busy when we arrived, one free table. It is a very popular cafe with people booking in advance. We chose a small breakfast and Welsh Rarebit ( which the chef kindly agreed to make as it was before 12pm when the lunch menu started). Americano coffees arrived with a complimentary homemade biscuit, which was delicious. The Welsh Rarebit was very tasty and the breakfast was good quality ingredients. Excellent service from the waiting staff, who were friendly and attentive. A yappy dog spoilt the atmosphere of people chatting, relaxing and enjoying their food.

Delightful little café just a 5 minuten walk from New Brighton Beach. The chips are something else, chunky, fluffy and beautifully prepared. I had a large golden-battered fish and a cosy pot of Yorkshire tea.
