Not very welcoming, 1 young staff member running the kitchen & bar. No greeting or thank you, quite uncomfortable really, as we were happy & having lovely day and decided to try a new place to eat, very solemn atmosphere. Only pizza & garlic bread available to eat but that wasn’t a problem to us, they were both freshly cooked and were 10/10. Don’t think we’ll return sadly.

Went to the newly reopened pilot boat for open mic night. It's had a bit of a spruce up but generally not much has changed. There is now a snooker table and dart board in what was the seating area where people would sit to get a good view of the open mic performance, so that seemed a bit disjointed No real ale on but pumps on the bar so hopefully in the future. Very nice touch with the complementary snacks.

Will at the bar is an absolutely wonderful server! He was so engaging and polite during our entire transaction! I would definitely come back to this place only if it meant that I could be served by Will again! The atmosphere and prices are also very good! But the real shining light of this place is definitely Will!

Went for lunch here yesterday and would highly recommend! Food was really tasty and great value with very good portion sizes too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming! The only fault is on their website they have a large and very good menu. However, I think this menu is out of date as the one we were given when we visited was different and had less options. Only for this, it would easily be a five star review.
