We visited this cafe for the first time today and it’s become our favourite in York. The coffee is outstanding, easily some of the best we’ve had. The croffles were decent and of fairly big portion. Staff members were so lovely and have kindly offered matcha latte for us to try. I never liked matcha but I can testify their matcha is top-notch, doesn’t taste like cheap grassy and bitter matcha. Will definitely come back again and again.

I've had coffee at many places in York, but none have come close to what I experienced today at Le Speciality Coffee. The coffee was excellent, with a real attention to detail. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I will certainly be recommending this place to anyone looking for the perfect coffee.

This was our first time visiting Le Specialty Coffee, and from the moment we walked in, it immediately felt like the kind of café you could happily spend hours working in. The atmosphere was quiet, cozy, and relaxing, with great coffee and food to match. We ordered the banana chocolate alongside an iced Matcha Latte and an iced Houjicha Latte. The Houjicha Latte was surprisingly excellent — I didn’t expect houjicha to pair so well with a latte, but it worked beautifully. Amazing coffee! I had a flat white and my wife a cappuccino, both 10/10. We also shared a sourdough bruschetta which, again, was great! Cannot recommend this place enough, extremely friendly staff and you can see the amount of effort they put into this place. Will be returning (probably tomorrow).
