Emma Tomiak★★★★★Very chill and comfy-feeling bar w/stage. I drove down from Dallas to see a few bands play, and the vibe was awesome. The door guy was patient with me as I paid the cover and was nice. The bartender was very nice as well. Food from Marinara Miracles was SO GOOD. There’s plenty of seating all over, upstairs and down. They’ve got pinball and arcade games in the main bar area, and pool and air-hockey upstairs. Overall, a really nice dive. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Austin.
Brad Sharp★★★★★The night was a perfect blend of live punk energy and hearty Italian fare – the bartender whipped up a spicy margarita that hit the spot before the band even started. I snagged a seat at the bar, chatted with a friendly server who knew the menu by heart, and enjoyed garlic toast that was crisp and buttery. The whole place buzzed with good vibes, friendly faces, and a price point that didn’t break the bank.
Cathedral of Pain★★★★I’ve played there several times time but I had not tried the food there but last night I went upstairs after my band set and tried the restaurant there the cheese sticks were to die for the lasagna was fantastic, but I just need to be a little warmer but still really good cold garlic toast was so good
Jack Alvarado★★★★★alhalla is a standout bar with a strong personality and an energetic atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for the night. The drink selection is solid, with well-made cocktails and good options on tap, and prices stay reasonable for the quality. The crowd is lively but not overwhelming, and the overall vibe feels social and welcoming rather than chaotic. Staff were attentive and kept things moving smoothly, even when it got busy. Whether you’re stopping in for a couple of drinks or planning to stay longer, Valhalla feels like a place people come back to often, which matches its strong loc
