This my second review. This time we had breakfast at Panera bread. We had avocado scrambled egg spinach on everything bagel and scrambled egg with cheese on ciabatta bread. Both were delicious and successful. On another note, the tea variety is good. The filtered coffee was OK. This branch of Panera Bread is in the University city right across Virginia tech. The environment is cozy and good for family gatherings. The crew is friendly, welcoming and fast. They changed the recipe on their Cinnamon Crunch Bagels! I usually buy a couple to take home and this time something was off. They are too fluffy and soft and there is a strong aftertaste of soap! I couldn't finish the one I was eating and threw the rest in the garbage! Bring back the old recipe!

First of all, they don't have bar code or qr code to scan your membership you have to say to them the membership number. Same thing for electronic gift card. Too much time spent for these details while ther a line that's getting longer. Second, they told our salad would come with olives but not a single olive in it. The bread was really bad, it wasn't fresh at all and very cold. This was bot the case in many previous visits. The squash and broccoli soup were excellent and warm.

My pickup order from Panera was on time and delicious. I ordered the vegetarian squash soup and Greek half salad, with a side of chips. The soup was creamy and perfect! Mybsalad was nice too, but could've had some more olives. I will definitely order these again...especially the soup. It is a tasty and gluten-free option!
