Lemon Tree Co. in downtown Boise is a must-visit! I stopped in for lunch and was thoroughly impressed by the high quality of their food and drinks. I ordered a turkey, cheese, lettuce, and tomato sandwich on local Gaston’s ciabatta bread. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the bread was outstanding. For my side, the tomato basil soup was a standout—rich, savory, and perfect for dipping. I was looking for a vegetarian sandwich. The menu had lots of interesting options which made it hard to choose. I went with the massaman curry banh mi. It was pretty good but not like any banh mi I’ve had at all. No pickled veggies and the sandwich bread was a far cry from a banh mi baguette. Great bread though! I just thought the name was very misleading and it would’ve been better to just call it a massaman curry sandwich. The salad was my favorite part. I adored the dressing. The sandwich had a generous amount of filling which made the price more justifiable. Personally, I wasn't the fan of the sandwich -- it had a lot of peanut butter. However, I'm sure a lot of people would really enjoy it. We also had the Peruvian sandwich and enjoyed it.
