I saw this place on the TV, Fox 5 Local Zip Trip event. Checked it out while in Bowie, MD. Plenty of free parking. Parking lot and restaurant entrance had litter, a bit of a turnoff. Chicken was great! Fried with a buttery moist texture! Two included sides delicious. Biscuit was perfect. I asked a regular customer how the fish was, he said he gives it high marks. Lots of folks ordering to go. I noticed they have an outdoor seating area. One piece of advice for the restaurant, make an effort to say a “hearty hello” to each customer entering the store.

We wanted to have a nice meal and decided to Google search restaurants near us and Ruby's was on the list. We arrived and saw a nice, well lit dining area. Needless to say, all that we ordered was delicious. However, the Strawberry Lemonades we ordered tasted as if someone poured a barrel of sugar into it. We had to get fountain drinks and use sprite to dilute our drinks in an effort to enjoy them. The smothered porkchops I had could have been cooked just a little longer. Though a bit tough, they were delicious. The black eye peas, are truly a hit. The fried catfish was also on point. I would

I had been seeing Rubys everywhere online, so while I was in Bowie I decided to finally give it a try. I ordered the turkey wings, cabbage, mac and cheese, and yellow cake with chocolate icing to go. I really wanted to like it, but overall the food was just meh for me. The biggest disappointment was definitely the cake. The icing tasted like a fudge pop, and not in a good way. Unfortunately, I only took about two bites before throwing everything away. I do think I’ll give them another try though and maybe order different items next time because I’ve heard so many good things. Look for more r

They use to be actually good comfort food back at their old hole in the wall location . But now they’re located across from Nadine’s hair and took the spot of pier one imports . They just stopped caring , no more made with heart and soul . It’s just cooked and heated up . Also they’re a bit pricey and I got into my SECOND bite of my plate and got into a rubber band type like the rim of a condom it looks like 🥴
