Easterly is a well-known Hunan-style Chinese restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area, with three locations around the region. We heard that this branch was recently renovated and has brought in top Sichuan and Hunan chefs, so we decided to give it a try. Overall, the quality of the dishes was top-notch. We did wait a little over 20 minutes for the first dish to arrive, but the owner explained that the chef prefers to cook everything from scratch to ensure quality. When we entered, there was not many people dining. The food was very spicy but they have no spicy or less spicy options as well. Service was very quick, the food arrive in less than five minutes and they even cooked the coconut chicken on our table! The place was very clean the whole time. The only bad thing I found was the coconut chicken was quite boney. But overall this experience was great and I would love to come back.

This is my best meal at the moment! My friend and I arrived at the restaurant at six o'clock in the afternoon. There were no guests here, and we were seated quickly. It's clean and bright here. The waiters all wear masks, clean tabletops, disposable water cups, dishes and chopsticks are clean, and the hygiene is super good! The food was served quickly, and the waiters were very enthusiastic. All the dishes we ordered were very spicy, and every dish tasted delicious.
