I'm only knocking off a star because I think the 3% surcharge that you can ask to have removed is really tacky and weird. What is it for? Does anyone actually feel good about asking to remove it? It made for an uncomfortable end to the evening. Just raise prices if you have to.

Wine list was varied, special cocktails tasty (Hemingway daiquiri). Food was delicious. Our server was new but did a good job. Little delay after our initial round of drinks but owner came by during dessert and treated us a a complimentary shot of lemoncello. Our reason for getting together was the passing of my dear friend's mother. The environment, staff, owner and obviously care for what they do, which made a somber occasion a lovely dinner.
