Make sure to order the coffee early as they roast the beans in a pot and it comes out later in beautiful presentation. Low key and quiet atmosphere, prices are very fair. Been going to this place for years, such a gem!

The menu listed the okra dish and veggie combo at $14.99 each, and coffee at $5, but I was charged $21 for both dishes and $8 for the coffee. The portions didn’t seem consistent with the prices: the okra was very small, while the veggie combo included much more food. The staff didn’t mention that the prices had changed before charging. While the food itself was fine, the lack of transparency around pricing made the experience frustrating. I hope the restaurant considers clearly match

The food was exceptionally good, the service was quick and attentive, and the inside is pretty with nice music. The prices being completely reasonable for the amount is the cherry on top as well. I highly recommend this place, both for people who are familiar with eastern African food as well as those looking to try something new.
