Great place for both food and Belgium beer. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, and it's clear if is both popular for locals and tourists. I went at 3:30 ish, so it wasn't crowded but did start to get busy when I was leaving around 5:30. They do recommend you get a reservation but it is probably only really necessary on Fridays and Saturdays. I had the beer flight (4 beers which are selected by the bar staff). This place was recommended by our hotel for their traditional beef dish which was lovely. We didn’t reserve and the man who welcomed us first said he is fully booked and then when I said we would like to reserve for the next day he said he had a table. He was not the friendliest person however the staff were great. He did ruin our mood unfortunately.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely lunch. We shared a tasty Belgian beer flight ( 4 glasses for 13.5 Euros ). We each had savory soups -- onion and seafood. I enjoyed an amazing salad and smoked duck with a flavorful orange dressing. Portions were large; service was fine; prices were reasonable, and the food quality was outstanding. I highly recommend dining at this local restaurant.

I had a great experience at Cambrinus. The mussels were very good, fresh and full of flavor. The Flemish carbonnades cooked with Gulden Draak were absolutely amazing, rich, tender, and perfectly prepared. They also have an incredible variety of beers to choose from, which makes the experience even better. A fantastic place to enjoy traditional Belgian food and great beer.
