We visited Kuro Neku in Bamberg on a Monday evening, and to our surprise, we were the only guests dining in. Instead of feeling awkward, it actually created a relaxed, almost VIP-like atmosphere—quiet, personal, and with incredibly attentive service. Before the dinner got started with our chosen menus we received a complimentary well balanced coconut soup. Japanese - Franconian cuisine is a unique fusion that we thoroughly enjoyed last night. There are three set menu options that offer something for everyone’s preferences. The wine pairings were excellent and gave us an opportunity to try unique wines from different regions. Aside from the food, a highlight was the very friendly and attentive service and romantic ambiance of the restaurant.

Amazing food and very hospitable. Very romantic and rustic atmosphere with attentive and friendly service. The food is simple but nuanced, serving traditional dishes from the region. Very nice wine list and you have the option to let them serve a three or four course meal with the wine pairing. Fantastic dining experience!!

Sylvia is the waitress and very nice, speaks some English. Her son is the chef and can translate menu for you in English. The food was more upscale with little higher price but so worth it. The desserts didn't impress us.
