Although the restaurant was well made and decorated with kind staffs, that didn’t distract me from the taste of the food. The Margherita pizza was very clearly store-bought with the dough not properly cooked and the flavor not quite reaching my expectations. The ice tea tasted like the syrups you can buy at a regular supermarket, however it was well prepared. There were a couple menu’s on each table which I found overwhelming and confusing for my first visit. While over in Dusseldorf you won't go wrong by choosing this place as a stop over at least once. The food is super tasty and service is friendly and prompt. A nice atmosphere thst is relaxed and not too loud set in a lovely Square with medieval buildings now serving the modern world. I sat alone as there were a couple or areas a lone diner wouldn't feel out of place but it looks great for larger parties of people wanting a place to hang and eat great food in warm inviting setting. I recommend highly.

Pros: The food and coffee were very good, the menu was creative, atmosphere alright, cleanliness also alright. People from little kids with parents to older generations all present. Despite workload the waitress was very human and aldo professional. Cons: Marilyn Monroe, a lot of sugar in the orange Juice, cold Milk in the Cappuccino. The waitress had about 25-30 people (the whole upper level) to deal with alone.

Update 20.10.2024: I use to eat "breakfast buffet" in different Extrablatt locations when I go traveling. Something was off here in Ratingen: - orange juice, missing ; water, missing; cereals and milk, missing ; desserts like Mousse au chocolate, Milchreis, missing ; etc. Simply adore it. I am talking about the terrace and the view. The perfect place. The ice-cream was also a delight
