I have recently made dinner reservations at Cocteau for a birthday date. The restaurant itself was very clean, neat, and has a lovely atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a date night or a dinner with friends. The food overall was enjoyable. We ordered the following: - Grilled chicken breast with Angevine sauce, potatoes and sautéed broccoli. - Crispy salmon with grain mustard mashed potatoes. - Pain Perdu. The grilled chicken was well-cooked and flavorful served with mushroom sauce on the side while the crispy salmon paired nicely with the mashed potatoes. The pain perdu was decadent and perfectly complemented by the vanilla ice cream. One thing worth mentioning is that the service was quick. I also want to highlight that the lady who took my reservation over the phone was extremely helpful and attentive. A very good restaurant with generous portions and an excellent value for money. The quality of the meat is really impressive, well cooked, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. Everything feels fresh and well prepared. One of my personal favorites there is definitely the ceviche, which was a real standout for me. Fresh, balanced, full of flavor, and perfectly executed, it’s the kind of dish that makes you want to come back. Overall, this is a restaurant that offers both quality and generosity at very reasonable prices, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I would recommend.

This restaurant holds a traditional, iconic status, but unfortunately, it relies more on its name and location than the quality of its food. I hadn’t been in years and was genuinely disappointed when I went back. The food was below average across the board. The beef stroganoff, which used to be my favorite dish here, was terrible this time — and the salad and dessert weren’t any better. In fact, the dessert was the worst part of the meal. To make matters worse, both my friend and I felt sick after dining there. It’s a shame to see a place with such a legacy lose its touch.
