Lo que dice la gente

Its cocktails are excellent. Dried pork ribs fries are match with cocktails. My fav cocktail is Inle Mary and May Myo Frose. It has significant texture and flavor compared to other restaurants. Will visit to them once a month.
I’ve been in Burma for a year and a half. Only just discovered this gem. Delicious food and wonderful decor with a relaxed vibe. Had a pork belly spaghetti dish followed by a banana honey flambé. Yum! I will be back for sure and will spread the word.

Dining at Burma Bistro was a really enjoyable and relaxed experience. The place had a cozy and modern atmosphere with a nice blend of local and international touches in both design and menu. I liked how the food was presented—simple but thoughtfully plated—and the flavors felt fresh and well-balanced, especially the dishes inspired by Burmese cuisine. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole meal feel comfortable and unhurried. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit back, enjoy good food, and have a calm conversation, making it a pleasant stop for both locals and travelers.

Located at 2nd flr of building, hidden from sight from street. Food was excellent! Had fried rice and shwe bo casserole. Both are unique and tasty! Pinky tamarind juice was most excellent! Great for hot weather. Service is excellent too. Deco of place is tastefully done and culturally beautiful ! Price is reasonable as well.

We came here based on a recommendation. The place is definitely exotic and authentic. Judging by photos and reviews, it used to be quite a notable spot — back when there was a steady flow of tourists who created the atmosphere and energy. Now it’s a completely different story. The place is almost empty, and the food is fairly average. In my case, it was also quite greasy. The staff tries, but you can see that during the day they’re bored and just trying to keep themselves occupied. Overall, it’s a place to try once — just for the experience.

The place was pretty hard to find bcz the signboard is tiny. The food was kinda mid imo but portions are HUGE and will keep you full. Price is fair. There are many options for vegetarians. Service isn’t the best. Love the vibes there though, esp. the balcony area. A must-visit for anyone who wants to take “instagrammable” pictures!

Honestly, this place used to be my favorite spot. But now, it has fallen into a somewhat mediocre place. The main issue is the food. I tried to give it a chance with multiple dishes but it was all unbearably mediocre and doesn’t taste well. The Chinatown sichet was very bland and strangely sweet, it’s supposed to be savory and more on salty side yet none is present. The bbq rib was not soft at all and dry and chewy. The fried wonton was decent but nothing a home cook can’t pull off. The good point is the vibe is still the same as always. But the food definitely isn’t worth coming back.

Absolutely love this place! The vibe and decoration are stunning—they did a fantastic job preserving the old colonial building while giving it a chic, modern, and cozy atmosphere. It has such a beautiful, elegant energy that makes it perfect for a nice dinner or drinks. The food and drinks match the amazing ambiance perfectly. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city!
