Nathan Bocarro★★★★We visited Nuga Gama at Cinnamon Grand Colombo for their Sri Lankan New Year buffet, and the experience had some truly memorable highlights. A day before the event, one of the Sous Chefs kindly walked us through what to expect, which set a positive tone even before we arrived. On the day of the buffet, we received a warm welcome and were seated promptly. The breakfast spread was excellent, a wide variety of traditional options, all well executed. The kiribath was my personal favourite, especially paired with lunu miris, and the live tea service added a lovely cultural touch. The lunch buffet was equally impressive, offering an extensive selection with great flavours across the board. The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the entire experience. The only drawback was the seating area we were assigned. It was noticeably hot with no overhead fans, and despite requesting a cooler multiple times, the request was ignored initially. When a cooler finally arrived, a neighbouring table to
Kaushalya Wijesinghe★★★★★Nuga Gama at Cinnamon Grand offers a marvelous experience in Sri Lankan culture and its rich cuisine. It’s an all you can eat buffet packed with delicious authentic Sri Lankan food including seafood, meat items hoppers, Kottu and various curries. Desert station had some Sinhalese sweet treats like Kevum, Kokis, Asmee, dodol curd and treacle and many local fruits. We got to experience some great cultural items like traditional downsouth dancing items and there was live music which was amazing. The place is cool and shaded with a giant Nuga tree and it felt like I was in a rural village in Sri Lanka. Food was exquisite and the staff was very professional and helpful. I highly recommend this place if you are looking forward to taste the true Sri Lankan delicacies. Overall 10/10 experience. ! Remember to reserve a table beforehand to avoid chaos.

Kira Vimal★★★★Visited Nuga Gama for dinner during our stay at the Cinnamon Grand. The ambience was amazing and I really enjoyed the live music. The food was good — nothing to write home about but falls into the quantity over quality pitfall of most buffets. Really enjoyed the sheer variety of options, especially with the fruit and the candy sections, which featured long-forgotten treats from my childhood. The hopper live station was great as well!
Ng Wei Yee★★★★★Very nice environment, flavorful food and good service by Jayaweera. The roast pork belly was amazing, good spread of food, salad and desserts. There was continuous entertainment with life music, dance performance and overall a very pleasant environment. Service was wonderful, we were given a complimentary umbra juice that was very refreshing which helped with digestion.
Harikrishnan V★★★★★Hands down the best buffet in Colombo. The spread is vast and authentic. They had a Jaffna theme when we visited and it was really well arranged including live music. The whole restaurant is setup like a village with earthen pots and nostalgic crockery. They have a huge banyan tree at the center and seating both outdoors around the tree and also in a/c rooms. The service was polite and effective, and the chefs were very accommodating. Located inside the Cinnamon Grand which in itself is a very pretty building, the restaurant is easily accessible via the hotel main entrance. Can definitely recommend!
Nilan★★★★★Great place to enjoy Sri Lanka cuisine in a village type of stylish atmosphere. They serve an excellent buffet with local delicacies prepared to suit the pallet of Sri Lankan and for travelers all around who want to taste local food. Really a quite place amidst buy life of the city. It’s a great product of CINAMON grand hotel.
Bianca Sipala★★★★We had dinner at Nuga Gama the night we landed in Colombo. The place is very nice with a good atmosphere. Some live music and traditional demonstrations during the dinner are very nice. The buffet has a lot of options from starters, to a collection of bread, to rice and curry and sweets and fruit. Cocktails are good and service very kind. Definitely too spicy for people not used to it (even though I do eat spicy normally, but this is a bit too much). At the end it seems that every plate has the same taste. Overall a good experience to eat traditional Sri Lankan food.
