Had dinner at Plates, Cinnamon Grand recently, and it was much better than when we last visited about a year ago. The buffet spread was extensive with plenty of variety, but what impressed us most was that the food was actually very tasty and full of flavour. The sushi and sashimi station was one of the highlights. Although there was no salmon, the selection available was fresh and enjoyable. The dessert section was another standout, with a huge variety to choose from. Overall, this is one of the best dinner buffets in Colombo and definitely offers good value for money. The only area for improvement would be the service – the staff could be a little more friendly and smile a bit more. Other than that, it was an excellent experience and one we would happily recommend.

One of the best buffet places in Colombo. It cost us less than LKR 7,000 net per person with a card offer for dinner on a Saturday. There was a wide variety of dishes, ranging from Sri Lankan to Japanese, Indian, Chinese, and Western cuisine. Plenty of meat options were available as well. There was a large dessert corner too. Loved the whole spread. Highly recommended.
