Heather Hayes★★★I have been coming to Hillmount with a friend for a long time now and much as I love the atmosphere, the staff and the shop, I am always disappointed in the home made scones. They absolutely fall into crumbs on your plate. I cut into them and it is impossible to butter them as they turn to crumbs as soon as touched with the butter. I end up with a heap of crumbs on my plate which I then have to eat with my coffee spoon. I think they need to be mixed more for a stiffer dough but I am only guessing. Sadly I shall not be back as £3.60 for a pile of crumbs is just too much!
