Eltham Grill House is one of the best places I have tried for fish and chips. The quality is outstanding, and everything tastes fresh and well cooked. What really stands out is the variety of fish options on the menu, which is quite impressive. I tried swordfish steak for the first time here, and it was absolutely brilliant. The prices are also very reasonable, especially for the quality you get.

Appalling service from start to finish. We waited over an hour just to have our food order taken and weren’t even given a food menu to begin with. Multiple tables were in the same situation, constantly having to get up and chase staff. I had children at the table who were hungry and had finished their drinks, yet their meals came last, a basic failure in hospitality. This was my daughter’s 10th birthday, completely overshadowed by the poor service. Despite this, we still spent over £200, money they clearly don’t value.
