I read all the reviews and hummed and hawed about whether to come or not. But…I did. The food was excellent. Paneer tikka and South Indian chilli lamb. Fresh, fragrant, tasty and very well spiced. IMHO the best of the Indian restaurants around here, but as good as I’ve had in many cities. The service was friendly, non invasive and responsive. If it stays like this then I will be back for sure. One star off for atmosphere, but it’s only Wednesday in February!

Amazing Indian restaurant in Inverness! The restaurant was fairly quiet when we visited, but don’t let that put you off. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend it!

Second time I have been and had another amazing meal here. We ordered both the chicken tawa and the lamb tawa, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The cashew rice with lemon was really yummy too, and the naan was perfect. What really topped the whole experience off was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The place was pretty full at the time but they still gave us their full attention, and the food still arrived quicker than expected. 10/10, I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon

A visit to the Bayleaf is a pleasant experience. Staff are warm and welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere. Takeaway Chicken Biryani recommended - sauce is one of the best I’ve tried. Looking forward to my next meal at the Bayleaf!
