Very disappointed with our visit. The food was genuinely unpleasant, especially the mixed grill, which looked like it had never seen a grill at all. The chicken breast had a strange sticky coating and clearly wasn’t grilled. We also ordered chicken wings as a side — they were sloppy, tasteless, and very unappetising. The only positive was my son’s burger, which he said was good, although I didn’t try it myself so can’t fully comment. For £65, this was extremely poor value. Today our family took a trip to the bold forester, from the minute we entered to the moment we left was a pure delight; not only because of the amazing food but for the outstanding service of the people who waited on us. One of these was a woman called Claire, she gave of an Aura of kindness even stopping for a moment to ask if our food was satisfactory (which it was!) all with a smile on her face which was very welcoming. Much appreciation for the meal and our family will definitely be coming again!

Birthday meal. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. We had mini mixed grill. Was stuffed. Was made to feel the mess we had made (10 of us) was not a problem. We stayed after our guests departed and went into another part of the bar. Prices reasonable for the bottle of wine and menu.
