What a special place. Everything about it was lovely... the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly - the food. The presentation was impeccable, making it feel really special. Dishes ranged from fancy peasant food to outright chef food and it all tasted amazing. Two highlights for me... One was the cheese gougeres which we had as an appetiser with drinks. The second one was the whipped ricotta - covered in flavours and textures which seemed tied together by a single olive which somehow felt like the crown of the dish. What a lovely hidden gem. Small front does not give away the wonderfully decorated tardis inside. We sat upstairs, theres artwork everywhere and it feels so cosy. The food was varied and so tasty! We went for brunch and had some brunch cocktails and three very generous meals. £100 in total, not cheap but absolutely worth it.

We ordered a turkish figs and goat cheese, a persian eggs and an egg royale. Absolutely wonderful food exactly to our tastes. The sourdoughs were very crispy and sour and the eggs were rich in flavour. My friend loved their food too. The coffee was quite nice as well. I love the interiors too and the fact that it is very close to the train station.

Myself and my partner were recommended Partisan by ChatGPT strangely enough as the top venue for Brunch in York. On arrival due to no tables we were walked down to sister venue Brancusi. Amazing establishment, great atmosphere, amazing food. We were served by a gentleman named Joe who’s manners, etiquette and customer service were exceptional! I would absolutely recommend.
