Honestly one of my favorite spots in the Highland Park area. True to the name, it just feels like a place where you can actually slow down, hang out, or get some work done without feeling rushed out the door. The cold brew is super smooth and they always have really fun seasonal syrups that aren't aggressively sweet. The staff is always incredibly chill and welcoming, too. Plus, they host cool community events and pop-ups sometimes. If you're looking for a great neighborhood coffee shop in DSM with plenty of space and a great playlist, The Slow Down Coffee Co. is it.

Mixed feelings about this coffee shop. On one hand, it’s a great building that is awesome for reading a book or doing some work from a laptop. The coffee is above average, but I really enjoy the iced cold latte. However, the service needs to be approved. I walked in cheerful and walked out sad. Both the cashier and the barista ignored me sometime and ultimately did not respond when I said, thank you after placing my order, I felt like goodbye. Could have been a lot warmer signs outside in the reviews. I have read beforehand. Again, good coffee and interesting building, but not the best serv

What a find! While passing through on road trip, we took a detour off the highway to refuel. Staff was super friendly and helpful, I got an excellent brown sugar cardamom latte (small size, better coffee flavor). We loved the collection of stickers too!

Love that they have vegan options for food!! I got a tea that was very tasty! The atmosphere was very comfortable and loved the vibe. Great for small groups or larger groups, like we were. There were 10 of us for a meeting. Also love the location and all the other spots down there
