Hamedullah Mohad★★★★★Honestly one of my favorite spots in the Highland Park area. True to the name, it just feels like a place where you can actually slow down, hang out, or get some work done without feeling rushed out the door. The cold brew is super smooth and they always have really fun seasonal syrups that aren't aggressively sweet. The staff is always incredibly chill and welcoming, too. Plus, they host cool community events and pop-ups sometimes. If you're looking for a great neighborhood coffee shop in DSM with plenty of space and a great playlist, The Slow Down Coffee Co. is it.

The coffee is above average, but I really enjoy the iced cold latte. However, the service needs to be approved. I walked in cheerful and walked out sad. Both the cashier and the barista ignored me sometime and ultimately did not respond when I said, thank you after placing my order, I felt like goodbye.
