Food is always great! The old "steamboat" restaurant feel. Their garlic fries are incredible, their chicken nuggets are really good too, all white meat and like the old fashioned hotdogs stand taste that brings u back. All the loaded fries are a hit along with the chicken philly.

It may be known for subs, but the chicken tenders are on another level, they are not frozen boxed garbage, they are hand breaded fresh actual whole chicken tenders. The philly and the beef sandwich are top tier as well. Never had a bad meal from here.

I basically grew up here! I remember when it first opened. I have a love for their garlic fries which is no surprise but also? I have developed a love for their salads. A trick of the trade is to order a grilled chicken salad with buffalo sauce as the dressing! So delicious. I live in Plainfield, now. So, I long for the taste of Mr. Submarine! I wish they had more locations! The prices are also awesome!
