Nick Onsgard★★★★★The curry chicken cutlet rice bowl with soy egg is the ultimate comfort meal. The star of the dish is the crispy chicken cutlet—perfectly breaded and fried to a golden crunch on the outside while staying juicy and tender on the inside. Each bite has that satisfying contrast of texture that makes a great cutlet stand out. The soy-marinated egg is a standout addition. Soft-boiled with a creamy, jammy yolk, it adds a silky richness that balances the crispy chicken and bold curry.

FangTsen Chu★★★★★It was clean. The servers were nice! There was a large variety of authentic Taiwan food . We tried a lot of food and loved it! Would definitely recommend it.
Globe Trotter★★★★This was my second time eating here. I came once last summer and again this summer. Like most shops on state street, it has a small interior. However, they seem to maximize the space to the best of their ability. You can order at the counter or the kiosk next to the counter. The format of the menu has changed a bit since they last time I visited. It took me a minute to find the dish that I ordered last time. The new menu format does allow you to customize your meal more, so that’s cool! I ordered a bento box with popcorn chicken, curry sauce with spice, rice, and a veggie side salad. The veggie side salad comes with thousand island. I’m not a fan of the dressing, so I’ll probably order the veggies without it next time. I added a tea egg to my meal. It was good, but not as dark and flavorful as I remembered it to be last summer. I topped off my meal with a pineapple jasmine bubble tea (lychee included). That was light and refreshing! Not too sweet, but also not too watery. I can’t
annie★★★★★was roaming state street when i found this hidden gem! the atmosphere and aesthetic are definitely the best aspects of it. while i think food could have more flavor (particularly one of the tofu dishes), service is fast and the food is still tasty. it’s a nice spot to check out when you’re craving taiwanese food on state street
Luke Loebl★★★★★Taiwan little eats is one of the family owned, hidden gems that make Madison so great. I make a point to go here every time I am in town. The food is authentic, delicious, and ready quickly. The atmosphere is perfect, especially on cold days, and the staff are the friendliest in town. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Whether you are looking for a spot to grab tea and study, or a need a bigger sit-down meal, TLE has you covered.
