Jared Barker★★★★★Dropped by for a casual bite and a cold beer and ended up having a blast. The burger hit the spot, but the cheese curds were the real standout—crispy and hard to stop eating. We lucked out by arriving on a night with a special, which made the whole visit even better. The place has a fun, energetic college-bar vibe that makes it easy to hang out longer than planned. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stop and a great way to spend the evening.
Mark McCarty★★★★We stopped in recently for dinner and to celebrate a birthday. It wasn’t too busy for an early dinner on a Monday so it was nice to chat and catch up. I had an urge to try something different so I tried the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. It was enjoyable but not memorable. Maybe my taster was off but I wasn’t picking up much of a cheesy flavor. The crispy chicken pieces were a nice addition and contrast with the soft macaroni. Just enough hot sauce too. Overall, we all enjoyed our meal together and the birthday celebration which Nitty is known for.
treeswamp★★It’s exactly what you would expect. The burger tasted like one hunk of …? Flavorless until i lathered it with mustard the way Diddy would. The fries were average. I will say they have a great and extensive tap list. Obviously you’re paying for it but I haven’t found Paulaner on tap at a non-german bar elsewhere in Madison. I was pleased with the british pint our very kind server gave me 😋!
