Dropped by for a casual bite and a cold beer and ended up having a blast. The burger hit the spot, but the cheese curds were the real standout—crispy and hard to stop eating. We lucked out by arriving on a night with a special, which made the whole visit even better. The place has a fun, energetic college-bar vibe that makes it easy to hang out longer than planned. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stop and a great way to spend the evening.

We stopped in recently for dinner and to celebrate a birthday. It wasn’t too busy for an early dinner on a Monday so it was nice to chat and catch up. I had an urge to try something different so I tried the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. It was enjoyable but not memorable. Maybe my taster was off but I wasn’t picking up much of a cheesy flavor. The crispy chicken pieces were a nice addition and contrast with the soft macaroni. Just enough hot sauce too. Overall, we all enjoyed our meal together and the birthday celebration which Nitty is known for.

It’s exactly what you would expect. The burger tasted like one hunk of …? Flavorless until i lathered it with mustard the way Diddy would. The fries were average. I will say they have a great and extensive tap list. Obviously you’re paying for it but I haven’t found Paulaner on tap at a non-german bar elsewhere in Madison. I was pleased with the british pint our very kind server gave me 😋!

Great place it was pretty dead as me and my husband went mid day on a monday food took a while to come out surprisingly though. Be careful with the ketchup bottle we had a little accident😅.
