We got their "World Famous Baja Tacos" and they did not disappoint!! The batter was light, flavorful, and crispy. They are a good size as well. My sons loved the Surf and Turf burrito and Baja burrito. The margaritas are tasty and strong. The servers were friendly and the patio is charming. We will be back next time we're in town!!!

I love this place. I’m visiting from out of state and I found this place with great views so I thought I’d try it out. And sure enough, my experience was amazing. This place has the real authentic Mexican food. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was so tasteful and delicious. Everything is made fresh. From the grill straight to your table. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very generous. It has outdoor and indoor dining. The wait for the food does take a little bit longer than I’m used too but it was definitely worth it. It has a public restroom and is wheelchair accessible.

This place needs to be 5/5. The Baja fish tacos were DELICIOUS and the price for each baja taco is $3.49. They also run specials on drinks during happy hour. Me and my husband ordered 5 tacos and 4 drinks and spent about $50 in total. We tried different tacos around town and nothing could be Johnny’s tacos. Keep in mind that depending how big your order is, you might wait a bit to get it delivered ti your table. The reason for this is that they make the taco and fry the fish to order. Nice restaurant and bar in downtown oceanside. Went here on two separate occasions and while the restaurant is nice, the food is not great for the area. I tried there California burrito which tasted good but was a little pricey for almost $20. On my second visit I tried the world famous fish tacos amd was slightly disappointed. They jad been hyped up to me by a friend but they were honestly a little dry and flavorless. They were very reasonably priced however so if you go for the bar they might be good.
