Welcome to Johnny Manana's, a family-owned restaurant serving authentic Mexican food since 1989. Our restaurant has been a staple in the Downtown Oceanside community for decades, and we are thrilled to now be expanding to multiple locations throughout San Diego, allowing us to continue sharing our passion for delicious food and excellent service with even more customers.

Heather Johnson★★★★★We got their "World Famous Baja Tacos" and they did not disappoint!! The batter was light, flavorful, and crispy. They are a good size as well. My sons loved the Surf and Turf burrito and Baja burrito. The margaritas are tasty and strong. The servers were friendly and the patio is charming. We will be back next time we're in town!!!

This place has the real authentic Mexican food. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was so tasteful and delicious. Everything is made fresh. From the grill straight to your table. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very generous. It has outdoor and indoor dining. The wait for the food does take a little bit longer than I’m used too but it was definitely worth it. It has a public restroom and is wheelchair accessible.

Me and my husband ordered 5 tacos and 4 drinks and spent about $50 in total. We tried different tacos around town and nothing could be Johnny’s tacos. Keep in mind that depending how big your order is, you might wait a bit to get it delivered ti your table. The reason for this is that they make the taco and fry the fish to order. I tried there California burrito which tasted good but was a little pricey for almost $20. On my second visit I tried the world famous fish tacos amd was slightly disappointed. They jad been hyped up to me by a friend but they were honestly a little dry and flavorless. They were very reasonably priced however so if you go for the bar they might be good.
