I placed a large lunch order by calling the number listed on a Sushi Kyo business card in Monrovia. When I arrived, they said they never received my order. After checking, I realized I had called the wrong restaurant—the number actually belonged to Kamon in City of Industry. When I contacted Kamon, they said the order was already prepared and refused to cancel it. I agreed to pay but requested a discount, which they provided after speaking with a manager. Ridiculous, we ordered $150 of rolls, sashimi, etc. to go. They put 5 boxes of ginger but forgot to put wasabi in our bag!!!! Now the meal is completely ruined.😩

I ordered two lunch combos for takeout and paid extra for sashimi. I drove home immediately after pickup. I was going to take the sashimi out to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cool, but to my surprise, the restaurant just put raw and cooked food in the same box . Because of the steam of the other items, the sashimi is already lukewarm. I just can’t believe that the kitchen staff has no basic knowledge of not putting raw and cooked items in the same box!! Isn’t this a violation and a hazardous way to handle food?

Sushi Kamon is kinda overpriced. For the same money, you can get way better quality japanese food elsewhere.
