Casa Rio is one of the more touristy spots on the San Antonio River Walk, but it was convenient to my hotel and the riverside location is definitely appealing. They also offer dinner cruises on the river, which adds to the experience for visitors. I sat outside right along the water, and the atmosphere was enjoyable overall. The food was just okay and the service was extremely slow. As soon as we received the food the wait staff disappeared and when they reappeared, they came with the check and was eager for us to leave.

Sitting outside and enjoying the scenery made the whole experience feel like a classic San Antonio afternoon. The food was good, the service was friendly, and I really enjoyed taking a break from exploring to relax along the water. One thing I thought was especially interesting is that Casa
