The magic of the Duck Sotbap is served in a hot stone pot with touch of truffle oil. Rice at the very bottom gets incredibly crispy and golden like nurungji. Although I am here for a short time, I would love to visit much often. The store is quite busy and have a bit of wait time

It’s Seattle Restaurant Week, so I wanted to try Chan for its elevated Korean fusion cuisine. Overall, everything was pretty solid. The short rib was nice and tender, and the kalbi beef was well marinated and flavorful. For dessert, they had a ginger ice cream that was delicious. The atmosphere and aesthetics of the restaurant were really nice and added to the experience. Service for me that night was a bit spotty, but overall it was still a good place to try.

We had roasted cauliflower, chicken wings as appetizers, smoked duck breast with rice as main dish (large portion for two people). The cauliflower was undercooked and a bit hard to chew but the sauce was fantastic. The fried chicken wings were excellent, so was the duck with rice. It would have been nicer if the bottom of the rice in the hot cast iron bowl was cooked a little burned (which is the case in many Korean restaurants) so it tastes a little crispy.
