Excellent customer service considering being short staffed. This place is getting busy again, and they need to do something to handle the volume. I have been to the one in Kalamazoo (on West Main), and it's a beautiful brand new building. I was told the franchise owner of that one owns this one (don't know if it's true). If this is true, they should do a MAJOR OVERHAUL of this building. LJS has kinda a negative reputation in GR, and I believe it's because the appearance of the restaurant buildings themselves (hard to believe corporate lets this owner get away with this; BK was just forced to u

So the first thing everybody needs to remember, is that long John Silver’s is a fast food fish joint and should be judged accordingly. The restaurant was empty when I was there, which means it was clean and quiet". The manager recommended that I get the super sampler, and the food arrived to my table, hot and ready to eat. The food itself was adequate. At a fast food restaurant, adequate is pretty good.

Love their chicken but for whatever reason it takes 10 minutes waiting at the speaker box just for them to take your order. Happens everytime and im sure it hurts buisness. If they can work on that it would be 5 stars all day.

I had such a great experience thanks to Mandy! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. She was incredibly polite, patient, and genuinely helpful—especially when I couldn’t decide what to order. Mandy offered suggestions that ended up being spot on!
