gianluca lucarelli★★★★★TOP!!!! We had a 4 hours layover in Parma and we were looking for a local restaurant. A friend of us recommended il Gallo D'oro and It was definitely the best! I reserved by mistake on the day after through The fork. We arrived when restaurant was almost full and extremely busy with the idea a table was for us but we discovered the mistake at the desk. In 5 min they found a solution for us and we finally enjoyed the Gallo D'oro experience. Outstanding Service (all of the gentle and willing to suggest), and unbelievable food. Crudo di Parma a must together with cappelletti al ragù (best One). W
Sebastian Cosmor★★★★★We had lunch here and had to wait a bit for a table, as there was a queue outside — it’s clearly a very popular place. But it was absolutely worth it. The staff was very friendly. Even though their English wasn’t perfect, they really made an effort to explain everything. One of them even took the time to walk me through the different types of Prosciutto di Parma, which was a great touch. As soon as you walk in, you can see a slicing machine and it’s obvious everything is freshly prepared. The food was delicious. We also had a very good local Lambrusco, and finished with a really tasty tiram
Michel Condoroussis★★★★★Parma has some unique dishes including horse meat and rooster. This place has both so I decided to try out the rooster and of course it tasted sort of like chicken. The dish itself was very good as were the other dishes we had. This is also quite a big restaurant, with a nice sealed terrace that is also non-smoking, a nice change. I would still recommend that you make a reservation as Parma can get pretty busy on certain nights.
Karen M★★★★★Our first night in Parma. We were welcomed warmly. The service was attentive and helpful. The food was simply delicious! We had the fried bread along with culatello. A must. We also had the trio of tortellini--3 different fillings, each delicious. The lamb with roasted potatoes was excellent. We saved room for dessert and were glad we did. We chose the zuppa inglese to share. A definite winner. We highly recommend.
